Another City, Another Sorry – The Answering Machine
I just can’t say no to a track like this. Fast, furious, big messy guitar lines, and lines that are in such a hurry to get out onto the dancefloor that they stumble over themselves. The Answering Machine come from Manchester, and they play the sort of music that deserves to be heard in every packed London club this year.
Think of the first time you heard The Futureheads, give them a bit more swagger and some slightly bigger hooks. Then set it free and enjoy.
Another City, Another Sorry comes out later this month, and from what I’ve heard so far it’s going to be awesome.
