When I was young I didn’t care

I recently got one of the more bizarre promo e-mails I’ve ever seen. The whole thing was in mad-libs, for reasons completely unexplained. Fortunately, I managed to stem my befuddlement and listen to the songs because there’s nothing confusing about them, just a burst of rock and roll like I haven’t heard in ages.

The band is called Coffinberry, and you can talk about them with mad-libs, anagrams, whatever you like – just make sure you listen to this song:

Write This – Coffinberry

Actually, this song ain’t half bad either:

Earthworms In The Sun

I keep thinking Archers of Loaf, but you can pick the 80s and 90s indie rockers of your choice, and Coffinberry has probably got some of that going on. Call it derivative if you like. I’ll just call it rock and roll like it’s meant to be done. Remember when the Strokes were the next big thing? Well, Coffinberry kicks their asses.

The record is called God Dam Dogs.
